Carnival Night

When: every two weeks, Friday through Sunday. What it is: three linked mini-events. You earn blasters from tasks, then spend them shooting balloons for a prize you nominate. Why it matters: a reliable, low-pressure source of energy cores, speed-ups, and lucky gear chests, plus leaderboard rewards and a 14-day title.

The short version

  1. Clear the Carnival Pass daily tasks first — they are your blaster supply.
  2. Clear the Puzzle Battle board — complete rows for chests, the full board for the top prize.
  3. Nominate your grand prize, then shoot balloons until you find it.
  4. Repeat. Each completed round is leaderboard progress.
  5. Shoot everything before Sunday ends. Blasters do not carry over.

The three tabs, and the order to do them in

The event page has three tabs. They are not equal, and the order matters: two of them generate blasters, and the third spends them. Always earn before you spend.

Carnival Pass — do this first

A battle pass structure. Completing daily tasks earns carnival tickets, which level up the pass, which pays blasters plus assorted rewards.

There is a free track and a paid track. The free track is worth clearing fully every day the event runs. The paid track pays more, as you would expect; whether it is worth buying is your call, but the free side alone justifies the daily tasks.

Puzzle Battle — do this second

A grid of missions laid out like a tic-tac-toe board. Three layers of reward:

  • Individual missions pay individual rewards
  • Completing a full row or series pays blaster prizes
  • Clearing the entire board pays the event's largest single prize

Plan the board rather than completing missions at random. Finishing three scattered missions across three different rows pays far less than finishing one row.

Balloon Shoot — the main event, do this with what you earned

This is where blasters get spent and where the leaderboard is decided.

How Balloon Shoot actually works

Before each round, you choose the grand prize. Pick from the available rewards and confirm. This selection is per round, so you can chase different things across the event.

Then you shoot balloons in random order. Every balloon contains something, but exactly one contains your nominated grand prize. You keep shooting until you hit it.

The round ends the moment you find the grand prize. Then you nominate a new one and start again.

Crucially: shot costs do not escalate. Unlike the Lucky Cards event — where each successive flip within a round costs more — here every shot costs the same regardless of how deep into a round you are. This makes Carnival Night much more forgiving, and it means a long unlucky round costs you time but not a spiralling ticket price.

More completed rounds means a better leaderboard position, and ranking rewards land after the event ends.

What to nominate

The prize pool commonly includes energy cores, speed-ups, and lucky gear chests. Choose by what is bottlenecking you:

  • Energy cores if you have gold gear waiting on promotion levels — see Hero Gear
  • Speed-ups if you are mid-build or about to enter a duel week
  • Lucky gear chests if your gear is still mostly purple

Blaster sources, summarized

  • Carnival Pass daily tasks (free and paid tracks)
  • Puzzle Battle mission, row, and board completions
  • Paid blaster packs in the shop

There is no other supply. If you skip the pass and the puzzle, you will have almost nothing to shoot with.

Common mistakes

Shooting before earning. Clear the pass and puzzle tasks first, then spend. Blasters earned after you have stopped playing are useless.

Completing puzzle missions at random. Rows pay bonuses. Full boards pay the top prize. Work toward completions, not count.

Assuming escalating costs. Shots stay flat-priced here. You can push a long round without penalty.

Finishing Sunday with blasters in hand. They expire with the event. Spend them, even into a round you will not complete — every balloon you pop still pays out its contents.

Ignoring the leaderboard. Ranking rewards plus a 14-day title go to volume of completed rounds. If you are close to a bracket near the end, more rounds is the right call.
