Hunt Party (Fly Fishing)

What it is: a week-long fishing festival with seven linked parts. You fish, the catch upgrades your gear and feeds an alliance feast, and fish coins buy exclusive hero gear shards at the Fish Market.

Why it matters: Fishing Expert pays the majority of the rewards, and it scores you for actions on specific days — which makes this one of the most bankable events in the game.

The catch: fish coins are deleted when the event ends. Anything you hoard past the last day is wasted.

The short version

  1. Know it is coming and stop spending. Fishing Expert scores diamonds, speed-ups, gathering and wild-creature kills. Arrive with a full bank.
  2. Claim the free daily pack every day — it is what lets you take part at all.
  3. Only fish when you have special items and buffs up. Runs without them score worst.
  4. Max your fishing gear for depth, then keep going to unlock multi-fishing.
  5. Spend fish coins on the last day, not as you earn them.
  6. Buy gear shards, not skins. Skins are priced for whales and pay almost nothing back.

The seven parts

Fly Fishing Tournament — the main event

Each fishing session pays catch and fish coins.

Your gear has three pieces, and each does something different:

  • Line — raises your maximum drop depth
  • Hook — raises your maximum catch capacity per run
  • Rod — gives collision immunity down to a certain depth

Bait comes in two grades. Common and premium — premium doubles the invincibility depth your rod provides. Select special items before casting to boost a run.

Deeper water spawns rare fish more often, so depth is the thing to chase.

Two things people miss: use the fishing journal after a run to claim a 20% bonus on the final rewards, and watch what you are catching, because your rod has limited storage and a full hold ends the run early.

Max every gear piece to unlock multi-fishing, which lets you use several items in a single catch.

Ranking: every run grants proficiency, earned 1:1 with fish coins. When the tournament closes, players are ranked by proficiency and leaderboard rewards arrive by mail.

Fishing Expert — where the rewards actually are

A multi-phase points event, one day per phase. Complete the specified actions during each phase to score.

  • Daily rewards unlock at point thresholds
  • Each phase pays out on that day's ranking
  • A final payout follows on total points across all phases

This is the part to plan around. It is the largest single source of rewards in the event, and because each phase scores different actions on its own day, the value comes from arriving with resources banked and spending them on the matching day. See Banking and Timing.

Seafood Feast — the alliance half

Once all your fishing items are at maximum level, you can donate catch to your alliance's feast. When a reward tier's donation bar fills, that tier can be claimed.

  • Each tier can be claimed once per player
  • Rewards cannot be claimed again after changing alliances
  • Leaving an alliance clears all your donation progress and records

If you are thinking of switching alliances, do it before an event week, not during.

Fisher Diary — the task grid

Tasks you complete across the event. Finishing a full horizontal row or vertical column unlocks a phase chest, and clearing everything available pays a treasure.

Puzzle tasks run three rounds of two days each. Finish a round early and the next begins immediately, so there is no reason to pace yourself.

Anything unclaimed when the event ends is posted to you.

Fishing Gear Pass

Upgrading fishing gear grants battle pass express, which unlocks the pass's tier rewards. It pays you for progress you were making anyway.

Fish Market — spend here, and spend late

Fish coins buy skins, avatar frames, chat bubbles, the new beast, golden hero shards and exclusive hero gear shards.

Skins are not worth it free-to-play. They look good and carry some bonus stats, but the gear and hero shards are worth far more over time. Put coins into what you are short of — exclusive hero gear shards, golden hero shards, or the new beast.

Bait Supply

Supply items for your runs come from defeating wild creatures, gathering resources, spending diamonds, and using speed-ups — the same actions Fishing Expert scores, so the two reinforce each other.

What to bank beforehand

Fishing Expert and Bait Supply both pay for the same actions, so everything below does double duty if you hold it until the event:

  • Speed-ups — scored directly, and a supply source
  • Diamonds — scored directly, and a supply source
  • Gathering runs and wild-creature kills — hold marches for the event days
  • Hero and gear upgrades — a golden hero upgrade timed into the right phase can be worth a large block of points on its own

This event is built to sell packs

The source guide is blunt about it: without spending you will not unlock everything, and the skins in particular are priced to be bought rather than earned. The free-to-play play is to claim the daily pack, concentrate fish coins on shards, and treat the ranking tiers you cannot reach as not existing.

Timing

Observed running Monday 2026-09-21 through at least Saturday 2026-09-26 on server 19, as a section called Hunt Party on the in-game calendar. The three puzzle rounds of two days each imply a six-day event at minimum, which matches.

No source gives the period between runs, so it is not projected into future weeks — see BEST GUESS 049. It is a different event from the Hunting Festival, which is goblins, a hammer and sandwiches.
